Dating Friends – the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

People have the freedom to choose who they would want to date. They can choose a complete stranger and from their friends that they find to be attractive. This particular article talks about how good, how bad and how dating friends can be ugly in some situations.

Let’s start with the good: Dating friends lets the “getting to know” process quicker mainly because they have known each other for long periods of times. Men usually initiates dating friends but there is no possibility that what they feel is mutual as compared to the the feelings of their female friends. Some people say that dating friends will result into a long and meaningful relationship but that is not always the truth. Next is the bad things that might happen: dating friends will definitely put the friendship on a higher level of relationship, there is a very high possibility that that friendship will be ruined if things go wrong. If the friendship will not be destroyed then it will never be the same again. Finally the ugly part of dating friends is the result of the bad. If the dating did not work the way it was expected to work then you friends will not be considered your friends anymore, they can also be your worst enemies.

A dater should know the things to do in building a relationship. When planning to do so, one should put in mind that in creating a relationship, he or she must not ruin another one. Dating friends allows both parties to explore further the relationship that they already have. It will make the friendship deeper since it has the possibility to be romantic. If things go wrong, friends should remain as that because that is what they used to be.

Personally, I have experienced being rejected by my friend; it was not successful but believe it or not we still remained friends. That relationship was worth the experience, the efforts, and the tears.
